JWU ENDS BASEBALL'S FIVE GAME WINNING STREAK
NEW LONDON, CT- Mitchell College was defeated 15-5 in nine innings Wednesday afternoon on Alumni Field. The Wildcats of Johnson & Wales University ended a five game winning streak for the Pequots. Mitchell falls to 9-6 overall this season (8-1 CUNYAC), J & W leaves New London at 15-13.
Mitchell rest up and hope for cooperative weather this weekend for a three game, CUNYAC series with Baruch (NY). Action will start Saturday with a 1:00 PM doubleheader and finish on Sunday with a single game at 12:00 PM. Johnson & Wales is scheduled to host UMASS Dartmouth Thursday afternoon.
