Mariners Beat Eastern Nazarene at Crusader Classic

 QUINCY, MASS. - The Mitchell College Mariners defeated the host Eastern Nazarene, 73-68, tonight in the first round of the Crusader Classic.  Mike DePaolo (Asbury, N.J.) and Eric Murray (Bridgeport, Conn.) each poured in 25 points to lead Mitchell to the victory.  DePaolo shot 5-6 from three point land, 4-4 from the free throw line and also pulled down five rebounds, while Murray also hauled in five boards. 

The Crusaders were led by DeAngelo Alston (Columbia, S.C.) with a game-high 27 points.  With the win, the Mariners (2-3) advance to the championship game on Saturday at 4:00 pm, and they will play the winner of the Green Mountain College-Framingham State game.  With the loss,  Crusaders fall to 2-4 on the season.
