Early in the second half, the Mariners took their largest lead of the game when they surged forward to take a 60-55 lead off a three-pointer from Young with 15:24 left. The Hawks answered with a 10-0 run capped off with a three-point play from White, going up five with 11 minutes to go.

Clinging to a two-point advantage with 7:29 remaining, the Hawks exploded with an 11-0 run capped off with a layup from White with 4:49 left to go up 84-71.
