CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- After a furious comeback in the final minute of regulation, the Mitchell College men's basketball team came up short in overtime and lost 111-100 at Lesley University on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference play.
Mitchell trailed by eight with a minute to play but outscored Lesley 13-5 to send the game into extra time. After sitting for the majority of the first half with two fouls, he reached the plateau on a lay-up with 15:49 to play in the second half.
Lesley's Marquise Johnson led all scorers with 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Lynx shot just under 56 percent as a team and went 11-for-24 from long range.
