Men's Golf Finishes Third

Final Results

SUTTON, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's golf team finished third overall in a tri-match against Anna Maria College and Newbury College on Saturday afternoon at Blackstone National Golf Club.

Anna Maria won the match with a four-man total of 311. Newbury shot 358 as a team while Mitchell posted a round of 368.

Sophomore Tad Maynard led the Mariners on the day with a round of 87. Right behind him was freshman Michael Baker at 88, followed by junior John Pescheta (95), sophomore Richard Palaia (98) and junior Dan Varga (102).

Mitchell will next play against Elms College on Wednesday, September 30 at Chicopee Golf Club. Tee times are set for 11 a.m.
