MEN'S SOCCER DRAWS WITH ANNA MARIA AFTER DOUBLE OVERTIME
NEW LONDON, CT--Mitchell College men's soccer (5-2-3) battled 110 minutes with the AMCATS of Anna Maria College (5-6-1) for their third tie of the season Monday night. Both teams played a fast paced, physical game. Mitchell out-shot Anna Maria 15-11 for the game. The Pequots dominated the overtime periods out-shooting the AMCATS 7-0, but were unable to find the back of the net.
In the box for Anna Maria was goalie Scott Burokas (So., Auburn, MA) wrapping up 6 saves. Pequot keeper Ryan West (Fr., New Britian, CT) finished with 8.
Mitchell will return to the field on Saturday for the second game of a soccer double-header with the women's team. The men will face Montclair State at 2:00 PM. Anna Maria will host Commonwealth Coast Conference rival New England College on Wednesday, October 4th for a 4:00 pm kick-off.
