MEN'S SOCCER 2-0 LEAUGE VICTORY FOR SENIOR DAY
NEW LONDON, CT--Mitchell College Men's Soccer hosted
Association of Division III Independents rival Green Mountain
College in the front half of a soccer double-header on Saturday
afternoon.
The Pequots, now 7-6-3, battled it out with the Eagles through a scoreless first half. Mitchell was the first to find the net off a penalty kick taken by midfielder Joshua DaSilveira (So,. Milford, NH) 70:30 into the game. Peqout forward Kevin Patterson (So., Narragansett, RI) bounced one off the crossbar and in, over the Eagle goalie at 83:51 for the final point. Mitchell out-shot Green Mountain 5-2 in the first period and 9-3 in the second.
Mitchell will head to Chestnut Hill, MA on Tuesday for a 3:00 PM kick-off with Newbury College. Green Mountain will head to Pottersville, NY to face Word of Life on Thursday for a 3:30 game.
