17 Mitchell Student-Athletes Named to Fall NECC Academic All-Conference Team
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- A total of 153 student-athletes, including 17 from Mitchell College, have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the fall 2009 semester, it was announced last week by Commissioner Del Malloy.

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's soccer team fell to Lyndon State College, 1-0, in the 2009 season opener for the Mariners. Freshman Patrice Lumumba (Burlington, Vt.) scored the lone goal of the afternoon for the Hornets. For Mitchell, Kevin Woodford (Clinton, Conn.) made four saves in the goal.

Mitchell Tabbed #3 in NECC Preseason Men's Soccer Poll
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's soccer team came in third place in the NECC Preseason Poll with 48 points and one first-place vote. The Mitchell Mariner's went undefeated 6-0 in 2008 regular season conference play. Becker College has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's soccer championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECC's head men's soccer coaches.
