Men’s Tennis Finishes Regular Season Undefeated With Win Over Anna Maria

PAXTON, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's tennis team finished the regular season this afternoon with a convincing 7-2 victory over Anna Maria College, and the win improves Mitchell's record to 11-0 overall.  The Mariners will compete this coming weekend in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship in Boston, Massachusetts as the favorites.

Tyler Engleberg (Niantic, Conn.) won his #1 singles match, and he teamed with Dan Dworetsky (Glastonbury, Conn.) for the #1 doubles victory.  Adam Samuels (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Andrew Small (Westerly, R.I.), Alex Fusco (Saugus, Mass.), and Adrien Tucker (Brookfield, Conn.) all won their singles matches today.

Samuels and Small played together at the #2 doubles slot and earned a 8-3 win over Jesus Torres & Adam Williamson.

Mitchell (11-0) will compete in the NECC men's tennis championship in Boston beginning on Saturday, May 2, 2009.
