Men's Tennis Downs Becker 8-1

LEICESTER, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory at Becker College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Mariners (8-0 overall, 6-0 NECC) remained undefeated on the season and clinched at least a tie for their second straight NECC Championship. Mitchell swept every singles match in straight sets and took two of three matches in doubles play.

Mitchell will look to secure the title with a win over Newbury College on Thursday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m. The match, which will be played at Leary Park in Waterford, Conn., is the final home contest for the Mariners this season.
