Iglesias Named NECC Player of the Week

 NEW LONDON, CONN.  -  Mitchell College junior guard Jen Iglesias (Waterbury, Conn.) led the Mariners to their first NECC win, defeating Daniel Webster 84-74. Iglesias lit up the court, scoring 31 points while pulling down seven boards and dishing out six assists. She shot 57% (8-of-14) from the field, 43% (3-of-7) from downtown and 80% (12-of-15) from the charity stripe.

On the season, Iglesias is averaging 17.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.  She is shooting 80% from the free throw line and has dished out 36 assists while averaging 34.6 minutes per game.
