Mitchell Women Improve to 3-0 in Conference With Win at Becker

 NEW LONDON, CONN. - The Mitchell women rolled over Becker College, 92-58, in a NECC road game on Thursday evening.  The Mariners were led  by freshman post player Destiney Harris (Bristol, Conn.) who had a game-high 25 points.  With the win, Mitchell improves to 4-6 overall and 3-0 in the NECC.

Jen Iglesias (Waterbury, Conn.) had another solid overall game with 21 points, four rebounds, six assists, and 3 steals.  Allison Peck (Colchester, Conn.) had a hot shooting night connecting on 3-for-8 from the floor, 3-for-6 from long distance, and 4-for-4 from the free throw line for a total of 13 points.  Freshman guard Bianca Young (Bridgeport, Conn.) chipped in with 10 points and nine boards.

The Hawks were led by Beth Pion (Enfield, Conn.) who had 16 points and six rebounds and Rachel Pinak (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) who netted 14 points in the loss.

Mitchell is back in action on Tuesday, January 20th when they travel across town to Connecticut College for a 7pm tip-off.
