17 Mitchell Student-Athletes Named to Fall NECC Academic All-Conference Team

ATTLEBORO, Mass.- A total of 153 student-athletes, including 17 from Mitchell College, have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the fall 2009 semester, it was announced last week by Commissioner Del Malloy.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - A total of nine Mitchell College student-athletes from the men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball teams earned postseason NECC honors, as announced by the conference late Friday night.

Third-seeded Mitchell College (8-10 overall) will travel to top-seeded Lesley University (14-4-1 overall) on Saturday for the finals of the 2009 NECC Championship. Both teams will be making their first title game appearance. The game will be held at Buckingham Browne & Nichols (80 Gerry’s Landing Road) in Cambridge, Mass. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
