Women's Tennis Receives NECC Sportsmanship Award
October 18, 2008, Attleboro, Mass.--The Mariners received the Team Sportsmanship Award at the NECC Tennis Championships held at Bay Path College in Attleboro. The Mariners finished the season with a 3-10 record playing their final regular season match to a 9-0 victory. “I am very happy with the way our first season went,” said Carmona. “We have a lot to look forward to in the near future as we are extremely fortunate for our learning experience as new members of the NECC. We are looking to make a strong showing next season.”
Rick Carmona Named NECC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year
Congratulatins to Women's Tennis Coach, Rick Carmona, who was honored as NECC Coach of the Year at the NECC Championships on October 18th. Voting for the All-NECC team and each of the major awards was conducted among NECC women’s tennis coaches.
MITCHELL COLLEGE WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM UPSETS POST UNIVERSITY
WATERBURY, CT September 11, 2008 - Mitchell College under the direction of first year coach Rick Carmona started the season against Division II Post University. Mitchell is a young team and with only three returning players and was not sure what to expect going into to today’s match.
