October 31, 2008 2008 NECC All-Conference Women’s Volleyball Teams Announced
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – All eight sponsored programs were represented on 2008 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, three separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week. Two Mitchell volleyball players were honored for their efforts during the 2008 season.
October 29, 2008 Lesley Eliminates Mitchell from NECC Playoffs with 3-1 Triumph
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University hosted Mitchell College in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals on Wednesday night and earned a 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-16) victory to advance onto the championship tournament to be held Saturday at Daniel Webster College. The Lynx improved their record to 9-10 (5-2 NECC) while the Mariners ended their 2008 season with a 8-14 (3-4 NECC) mark.
October 21, 2008 Mariners sail past Anna Maria, 3-1
PAXTON, Mass.— Stephanie Davis (Ledyard, Conn.) had 11 kills and eight digs to lead the Mitchell College women’s volleyball team past Anna Maria College, 3-1. The AMCATS took the first game 25-21 before the Mariners stormed back to take the next three games in a row by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-18.
