Senior Bryton Ferris tossed a nine-inning complete game to give the Mitchell baseball team its first win of the season against Otterbein last week. He allowed only two runs on nine hits and struck out five as the Mariners prevailed 3-2. It marked the second complete game for the left-hander in his career, and the first since his rookie season. Ferris entered his final season with the lowest career ERA in the school's Division III history. In 23 career starts he holds a 14-4 record with a 3.02 ERA. For his efforts, he was named NECC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
