Five Baseball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Five members of the Mitchell College baseball team were named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Softball Team, as announced recently by the organization.
Senior Dom Yarson (Ewing, N.J.) and Thai-ler Sestokas (Danbury, Conn.), along with juniors Chas Terni Jr. (Montville, Conn.), Michael Ficocelli (North Providence, R.I.), and Christopher Piscione (Cranston, R.I.) were the players to earn Academic All-District Baseball honors, as selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. For the sport of baseball, a maximum of five nominations can be made for an All-District Team from each institution.
