Men’s Golf Battles in EC Invite

HINGHAM, Mass. – The Mitchell College men's golf team continued its fall slate on Thursday afternoon, competing in the EC Invite hosted by Emmanuel College at South Shore Country Club.

The Mariners finished fourth as a team with a score of 393 (+105) in a field that included the host Saints, Dean College, and Lesley University. Emmanuel captured the team title with a 315 (+27), followed by Lesley at 338 (+50) and Dean at 341 (+53).

Sophomore Nathan Mahoney (Stonington, Conn.) paced Mitchell with a sixth-place finish, carding a nine-over-par 81. Sophomore Luke Pavia (Bolton, Mass.) tied for 12th overall with an 89 (+17), while senior Jacob Quiles (Wallkill, N.Y.) added a 97 (+25). Sophomore Tommy Daly (Wethersfield, Conn.) rounded out the lineup for the Mariners.

Emmanuel's Jack Ouellette earned medalist honors with a one-over-par round of 73.

Mitchell will return to action on Wednesday, October 8, when it hosts the Mitchell Invitational IV at Shennecossett Golf Course.
