Beaudet Repeats as GNAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Jaxyn Beaudet (Groton, Conn.) has been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The first-year big man delivered another impactful performance for the Mariners, averaging 9.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in two starts while shooting an efficient 53.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range. He logged 22.0 minutes per game and contributed across multiple statistical categories on both ends of the floor.
Beaudet's standout performance came in a 66–64 road loss at Webber International, where he played 32 minutes and scored 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting (53.8 percent), including a three-pointer. He also recorded nine rebounds, three assists, and one block in the contest. Across the two games this past week, he totaled 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
Through 12 games this season, Beaudet is averaging 6.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 53.4 percent from the field.
The Mariners head into the holiday break with a 4–8 overall record and will open GNAC play on Saturday, January 10, at Saint Joseph's College (ME).
