McLean Sets Program Record at Saints Invitational
HINGHAM, Mass. – Senior Shamus McLean (Groton, Conn.) shot a four-under-par round of 68 to claim medalist honors on Thursday afternoon, helping guide the Mitchell College men's golf team to a second place finish at the Saints Invitational, hosted by Emmanuel College at South Shore Country Club.

As a team, the Mariners finished second with a score of 346 (+58), behind only Emmanuel, who shot a 334 as a team. Dean College was third with a 361 and Lesley University claimed fourth place with a 365 on the day.
Senior Jack Hayes carded a 81 (+9) to finish in a three way tie for third place, while freshman Israel Smith (Houston, TX) also claimed a spot in the top-10, shooting a 92 (+20) to claim a tie for 10th. Freshman Nathan Mahoney (Stonington, Conn.) and senior Liam Kane (Waterford, Conn.) shot a 105 (+33) and 107 (+35) respectively to round out the day for the Mariners.
The Mariners will return to action on Wednesday, September 18, when they return to Shennecossett Golf Course to host the Mitchell Invitational II.
