Bio
Keri Tricinelli enters her first season as head coach of the Mitchell College softball team in 2016.
Tricinelli will make her collegiate head coaching debut with the Mariners. She previously served as an assistant coach at both the Division I and II levels following a four-year playing career at the University of New Haven.
Tricinelli inherits a program that finished 17-15 overall last season. Mitchell posted a 16-2 record in New England Collegiate Conference play en route to its first regular season title in the seven-year history of the league. The Mariners were the top seed in the 2015 NECC Championship but were eliminated in a pair of one-run, extra-inning games.
Tricinelli’s coaching resume includes stops at Wagner College, Georgian Court University and Blacks Hills State University. She worked primarily with the pitching staff while at Wagner and GCU, and at BHSU she coached the hitters in addition to assisting with recruiting.
A four-year letterwinner at New Haven, Tricinelli saw action as both a pitcher and designated hitter and finished her career with a 2.23 ERA and .246 batting average. In four years she helped lead the Chargers to a 143 wins and appearances in four Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) tournaments, three NCAA Regional tournaments, and one NCAA Super Regional.
Tricinelli, a native of Brick, N.J., was a four-year starter on the softball team at Monsignor Donovan High School. A two-time all-state and four-time all-county selection, she was the 2007 Shore Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Tricinelli graduated from New Haven in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in sports management. She earned her master’s degree in strategic leadership at BHSU in 2015.
