Bio

Ashley Snow begins her first season as the head women's lacrosse coach at Mitchell College in the spring of 2023.

Snow, who will make her collegiate head coaching debut with the Mariners, joins Mitchell following a year long stint at Greensboro College, in North Carolina, where she served as an assistant coach this past season. She takes over a Mitchell program that went 1-13 in 2022 and graduated just three seniors.

"We are so excited to announce Ashley as our women's lacrosse head coach," said Director of Athletics, Matt Finlayson. "Through the entire process, Coach Snow's experience, vision for the student-athlete experience, recruiting track record and positive approach to coaching were all very impressive. We are thrilled for her to grow and lead the women's lacrosse program."

Snow began her coaching career at Hanover College as an assistant in 2017. While at Hanover, she was instrumental in the recruitment of 28 student-athletes and served as the offensive coordinator; working directly with the attack in developing, learning, and executing play strategy.

During her time as an assistant, Hanover posted an overall record of 22-19 while going 15-5 in conference play. Her teams qualified for the ORLC Conference Tournament in both 2018 and 2019, and had nine players who were All-ORLC selections from 2018-2019.

Snow also served as the head of softball and girl's lacrosse for Camp Starlight during the summers of 2018 and 2019, leading multiple teams to championship appearances in the Wayne County League.

"I am excited to join the team and get things rolling with Mitchell Women's Lacrosse," shared Snow. "We are a seasoned group with several returning key players, while we also have young and hungry underclassmen who are ready to go. The team is full of high energy and enthusiasm, and I can't wait to see what all we can accomplish in the near future!"

As a player, Snow was a varsity lacrosse athlete in 2014 and 2015 for Oklahoma Baptist University. During her senior season, the team ranked seventh in the nation mid-season as a second year program. They ended up finishing in the semifinals of their conference tournament. Snow had 15 points with 13 goals and two assists on the season, an .833 SOG%, and 37 GB.

A native of Collinsville, Texas, Snow graduated from OBU in the fall of 2016 with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Kinesiology, Psychology, and Sports Management
