Men’s Tennis Defeats Post and Remains Unbeaten
New London, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's tennis team improved to 5-0 on the season with a victory over Post University this afternoon. The team only lost a total of five game in the singles play and four games in doubles play in the lopsided victory.
Kyle Carmona (Norwich, Conn.) shut out his opponent in the #1 singles position, and he teamed with Samuel Mahar (Hoosick, N.Y.) for a victory at the #2 doubles slot. Mahar, Adam Samuels (New Rochelle, N.Y.), and Chris White (Marshfield, Mass.) also shut out their opponents at their #3, 5, and 6 singles positions respectively. Devon Cornelius (Lakeville, Mass.) and Daniel Ciccarone (Malverne, N.Y.) each picked up their first wins of the season in doubles play.
The Mariners are 5-0 on the season, and they are back in action on Saturday, April 18th when they travel to Newbury College for an NECC match.
