Women's Tennis Falls 7-2 at Post
WATERBURY, Conn. - The Mitchell College women's tennis team
suffered a 7-2 defeat at Post University on Sunday afternoon.
Mitchell (0-9 overall) won at both No. 1 singles and doubles to
notch its two points. Freshman Mackenzie Flanagan and senior Kelly Walsh teamed up to earn their third doubles win of the season by an
8-3 final over Post's Diana Hayden and Sarah Yacavone. Flanagan
then went on to defeat Hayden in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, to improve
to 8-1 overall in singles action.
Post (1-6 overall) won the remaining five singles matches in
straight sets.
Mitchell will next host Bay Path College on Tuesday, October 5 at
3:30 p.m.
