WESTON, Mass. – The Mitchell College women's soccer team fell to Regis College by a score of 10-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday evening at Regis Stadium.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ronnie Keays (Salem, N.H.) recorded 11 saves in 90 minutes of action, facing 21 shots on goal from a relentless Regis attack.
Mitchell was held without a shot or corner kick in the match, while Regis totaled 47 shots and 18 corner kicks on the evening.
The Pride were led offensively by Maeve Glavin and Sienna Santiago, who each recorded a hat trick. Glavin scored three goals—including two in the first half—while Santiago added two first-half goals and one early in the second. Mia Carll also contributed with a goal and two assists, and Julia Benvegnu and Erin Flaherty each tallied second-half goals to round out the scoring.
After a four-game road trip, the Mariners (2-7, 0-7 GNAC) will return home for their next game—a GNAC showdown against Saint Joseph's College (ME) on Saturday, October 11, at 1 p.m.
