Macca has enjoyed success on the court in each of her three seasons with the Mariners. The Mitchell women's basketball team has a combined record of 30-19 in conference play and qualified for the NECC Championship in each season, advancing to the semifinals in both 2010 and 2011. The Mariners have also had six players earn NECC All-Conference recognition, and Macca was selected as the 2011 NECC Coach of the Year.

Before assuming head coaching responsibilities with the Mariners, Macca served as the Sports Information Director at Mitchell in 2008-09. She brings with her 14 years of collegiate coaching experience in four different sports at the Division III level. Her extensive knowledge of NCAA Division III athletics, as well as her comprehensive experience both as a collegiate athlete and coach, have enhanced Mitchell's programs. She was also a Regional All-American goalie in lacrosse.

She was then hired as a graduate assistant at Elmira College for the basketball and softball teams in 1999. During her two years as a GA, the women's basketball team qualified for the NCAA tournament and made an appearance in the Sweet Sixteen.

Macca then went on and started the softball program at Wells College where she earned conference Coach of the Year honors. She returned to Elmira to take over the field hockey and lacrosse programs and in her four-year tenure at Elmira, Macca was named Empire 8 Coach of the Year two times. She then took over the reins as the head women's lacrosse coach at Utica College. Under her tutelage, the Pioneers qualified for the Empire 8 Conference Tournament for the first time in school history.

In addition to 14 years experience as a college coach, Macca has also held several other positions including PE instructor, advisor of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Executive Director for the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association.
