DeLoach Nabs NECC's Top Weekly Honor
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Olivia DeLoach was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of women's volleyball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
DeLoach earns the honor for the second time this season (Sept. 7). She recorded team highs of 3.31 kills and 4.19 digs per set last week over four matches.
DeLoach finished with season highs of 21 kills and 35 digs in a non-conference tilt at the University of Saint Joseph, and she followed that with another double-double of 14 kills and 16 digs in league action against New England College. She also had nine kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 win over Albertus Magnus to start the week.
DeLoach has played in 16 matches this season and leads the team in kills (119) and digs (184). She also ranks second in service aces (25) and third in hitting percentage (.117).
Mitchell (4-13 overall, 0-1 NECC) will next play at Bay Path University on Tuesday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m.
