DeLoach Grabs Third POW Honor of the Season
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Olivia DeLoach was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of women's volleyball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
DeLoach earns the honor for the second straight week and third time this season (Oct. 18, Sept. 7). She averaged a team-high 2.60 kills per set and hit .367 last week as the Mariners went 2-0.
DeLoach kicked off the week with a double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win at Bay Path University. She followed that effort with a pair of kills and one dig in a 3-0 conference victory over Lesley University.
DeLoach has played in 18 matches this season and leads the team in kills (132) and digs (195). She also ranks second in service aces (27) and third in hitting percentage (.135).
Mitchell (6-13 overall, 0-1 NECC) will next host Western Connecticut State University on Wednesday, October 27 at 7 p.m.
