have enhanced Mitchell's programs.
Macca is a native of Stonington, CT and was an All-ECC athlete in
tennis, basketball and softball at Stonington High School, where
she was inducted into the school's hall of fame in April 2012. She
went on to play basketball and lacrosse at Connecticut College

history. She was also a Regional All-American goalie in
lacrosse.
Macca became the assistant basketball coach at Division II
Bloomsburg University. She was then hired as a graduate assistant
at Elmira College for the basketball and softball teams in 1999.

for the NCAA tournament and made an appearance in the Sweet
Sixteen.
Macca then went on and started the softball program at Wells
College where she earned conference Coach of the Year honors. She
returned to Elmira to take over the field hockey and lacrosse
programs, and in her four-year tenure Macca was named Empire 8
Coach of the Year two times. She then took over the reins as
the head women's lacrosse coach at Utica College. Under her
tutelage, the Pioneers qualified for the Empire 8 Conference
Tournament for the first time in school history.
In addition to 13 years experience as a college coach, Macca
has also held several other positions including PE instructor,
advisor of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Executive
