PAXTON, Mass. – The Mitchell College women's basketball team dropped a narrow 66–59 decision to Anna Maria College on Wednesday evening in a non-league game at the Fuller Activities Center.
Mitchell opened strong with a 19–14 lead after the first quarter, but Anna Maria used a solid second quarter to take control. The Mariners improved their play in the second half and scored 19 points in the fourth, but the early gap proved difficult to close.

Fellow sophomore Jade Hypolite (Houston, Texas) recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, and freshman Delaney Fifield (Whately, Mass.) grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds and added three blocked shots.
Anna Maria was led by Hannah Baxter with 15 points, followed by Tiffany Salazar with 12 and Sarah O'Connor with 11.
The Mariners (2–6, 0–0 GNAC) close out the semester with a home game against Nichols College on Monday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m.
